Visa-free entry for visitors
No visa is required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore and Brunei to visit China for up to 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends or transit.
Visa-free policy for 38 countries
Until December 31, 2025, China has decided to extend the visa-free policy for 38 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan. Citizens holding ordinary passports from the above countries who come to China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes for no more than 30 days can enter China without a visa. People from the above-mentioned countries who do not meet the conditions for visa exemption still need to apply for a visa before entering China.

A: Foreign nationals traveling for purposes of business, tourism, family or friends visits,exchange and transit that meet the visa waiver requirements can be allowed to enter China without a visa upon examination and approval in accordance with law by border inspection authorities. Entry into China shall be denied by border inspection authorities in accordance with law to foreign nationals who travel for purposes that do not meet the visa waiver requirements or who are not allowed to enter China in accordance with laws and regulations. It is recommended to take documents such as invitation letters, air tickets and reservations of accommodation as a proof corresponding to the purposes of entry into China. Visa waiver does not apply to those who come to China for work, study, journalistic or alike purposes.

Invitation Letter
If you need an invitation letter for the visa application, please write to Ms. Daisy Deng ([email protected]) with the following information: the meeting title, applicant’s full name, gender, date of birth, nationality and passport number, passport issue date, passport expiry date, tentative arrival and departure date.
If you need a visa notification issued by the Chinese authority, please write to Ms. Daisy Deng ([email protected]) with a scanned copy of your valid passport and indicate the meeting you are going to attend. The notification application need around 5 working days.
Attention
1. Please leave enough time for the entire application procedure. Chinese consulates will be closed for Chinese holidays.
2. Usually it’s more convenient and quick to apply for a tourist Visa than Non-commerce visa to attend our conferences.
