We are pleased to announce CSH Asia / ICMS (The International Cancer Microenvironment Society) Joint Conference on Tumor Microenvironment which will be held at the Suzhou Dushu Lake Conference Center in Suzhou, China, located approximately 60 miles west of Shanghai. The conference will begin at 6:00pm on the evening of Tuesday November 13, and will conclude after lunch on Saturday November 17, 2012.

This conference is similar in design to the famous Cold Spring Harbor meetings series, a program now in its 76th year. The conference will include a combination of oral sessions and poster sessions. Many talks will be selected from the openly submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit and relevance. Social events throughout the conference provide ample opportunity for informal interactions.

Major Topics:
• Regulatory pathways (metabolic pathways, microRNAs, etc.) in the tumor microenvironment
• Metastasis & the metastatic microenvironment
• Protective immunity & inflammation in the tumor microenvironment
• Imaging of the tumor microenvironment
• Pre-metastatic niches and stem cells
• Interactions of tumor cells with cells (endothelial cells, immunocytes, fibroblasts, etc.) & molecules (antibodies, cytokines, chemokines, enzymes, etc.), in the tumor microenvironment
• Translational cancer research – clinical & preclinical studies:
    - Targeting of tumor microenvironment interactions
    - Biomarkers & molecular signatures
    - Modifying the tumor microenvironment

The abstract submission process is tied to the registration process. Therefore, please register for the “CSH Asia / ICMS Joint Conference on Tumor Microenvironment” first. You will then be sent a web link for abstract submission.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
NO PAYMENT is due until after the presenting author receives an email (around the third week of August 2012) stating that the abstract has been accepted.
Only abstracts of registered participants who paid the registration fees will be included in the abstract book.

Abstracts should contain new and unpublished material and must be submitted electronically not later than the submission deadline. Presenting authors may submit abstracts for consideration as talks and/or posters. Selection of abstracts for oral or poster presentation will be made by the Program Committee. Abstracts will be selected on the basis of relevance to the conference topic and on scientific merit.

Abstracts are the responsibility of the author(s) and publication of an abstract does not imply endorsement by Cold Spring Harbor Asia or by the International Cancer Microenvironment Society of the studies reported in the abstract.

Conference abstracts should not be cited in bibliographies. Material therein should be
treated as personal communications and should be cited as such only with the express consent of the author(s).

Fellowship:
We are eager to have as many young people as possible attend since they are likely to benefit most from this meeting. A certain number of presentations by graduate students and postdocs in this conference will be selected as fellowship (USD $200-$500) awards. For more details, please visit Stipends
